About
In 2001 I attended an introductory architectural drafting class at Oakland Community College. After this class was over I ended up traveling the country for a while before signing up for the military.
I served a total of seven years as a U.S. Army Infantryman. A life changing experience to say the least. My unit was deployed three times during those seven years. Once to Afghanistan and twice to Iraq.
When all was said and done with the military I had a pretty big decision to make. What to do next. It was whittled down to three options. Continue to serve and become law enforcement, attend music school or pursue a degree in architecture. The final decision made was to pursue architecture.
Another wild ride that was! My military and construction related backgrounds really helped me to push through and achieve my Masters in Architecture.
Everyday there is something new to learn. Every project is unique and challenging. The eclectic nature of what happens in architecture is why I enjoy it so much. You never know what the next day will bring.
